Classes

A class used to introduce young dancers to many different styles of dance. While learning balance and coordination, they will learn basic dance steps and movement in styles such as ballet, jazz and acrobatics.

For Children Ages 3-5

Pre-Dance

A combination class used to introduce young dancers to tap and jazz.  While learning balance and coordination, they will learn basic dance movements in jazz and tap. 

For Children Ages 4-5

Tap: This class is all about learning rhythm, coordination and musicality. Students will learn basic to advanced tap steps and rhythm combinations. 

For Children Ages 6 and up

This class will teach dancers the basics and fundamentals of dance through ballet as it is the foundation for all dance forms. The dancers will develop poise, improve strength, balance, control and self-confidence through this graceful art form. Students will be trained according to the Royal Academy of Dance methods.

This class requires high energy and consists of expressional movement to hip hop music

For Children Ages 6 and up

Hip Hop

This class is a combination of dance and gymnastics. Dancers will learn how to properly execute acrobatic tricks while developing flexibility, agility and control. 

For Children Ages 4 and up

Acro

This class will help improve a dancer's flexibility, balance and strength and will work on their progression skills such as turns, jumps, leaps and kicks while also concentrating on developing proper dance technique.

For Children Ages 5 and up

Jazz

This class will combine modern and ballet elements. In contemporary dance, people attempt to explore the natural energy and emotions of their bodies to produce dances which are often very personal. This style of dance is geared to more mature dancers.

For Competitive Dancers Ages 11 and up

Contemporary

This class is a combination of both ballet and jazz. This style is danced to softer music that will encourage the dance movements to tell a story and teach dancers how to become more expressive.

For Competitive Dancers Ages 8 and up

Lyrical

This class combines dance with the performing arts. Dancers will learn how to play different characters through dance movements and expressions.

For Dancers Ages 8 and up

Musical Theatre

This class is only open to advanced competitive dancers. Dancing on pointe is a major goal in a ballerina's dance life. Dancing on pointe, or your toes, requires tremendous strength of the legs and feet.

For Competitive Dancers Ages 11 and up (by invite only)

Pointe

Dancers learn to work on acro combinations and individual skill development. The aim is to increase general skill level and perfect the basic lines and forms of each skill. 

Dancers work on learning new skills, correcting form and perfecting techniques as well as building confidence and understanding how to perform these skills.

For Children Ages 6 and up
